Nation’s Largest Annual Youth Soccer Convention Comes to Ft. Worth

Frisco, Texas (Vocus) December 7, 2009 -- The US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop (http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/workshop/) will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, Feb. 25-27, 2010 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Over 3,000 soccer coaches, administrators, referees and enthusiasts are expected at the organization's annual convention.

Early registration, the opportunity to save 50 percent ($100) on admission is available through Dec. 15. Admission to the Workshop provides many opportunities, including access to educational sessions that will accelerate and enhance knowledge of the game for anyone involved in youth soccer (http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/workshop/index.asp), from parents and coaches to regional, state and club administrators.

The convention features numerous educational sessions for those involved in youth soccer including field demonstrations for coaches. In addition to the educational opportunities, the convention features an exhibit hall. Opening Thursday, Feb. 25 running through Saturday, Feb. 27, over 200 exhibitors are expected, featuring the latest soccer equipment, technology, apparel, fundraising ideas and more.

The event, the largest of its kind for youth sports in North America, features more than 90 educational workshops and demonstrations kicking off on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. and run through Saturday afternoon.

Friday night is highlighted with the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala. In addition to the third class of the US Youth Soccer Hall of Fame the association is presenting awards for Recreational and Competitive Coach of the Year (boys and girls), Dr. Thomas Fleck Award for Excellence in Coaching Education, Administrator and Volunteers of the Year, TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year, Goal and Save of the Year and Young Referee of the Year (male and female). The Gala is followed by The After Party presented by adidas.

On Saturday, the Kick Zone opens to provide an area for players featuring soccer (http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/workshop/) inflatables and games. The exhibit hall and Kick Zone are free and open to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for kids of all ages.

In addition to learning from leading clinicians in the areas of coaching and player development, the event will include topics from the challenges and realities of international travel, risk management, organizing and financing field development. Registrants will also hear the latest in marketing techniques and tactics, sports medicine topics, developing and retaining youth referees and additional areas of interest regarding recreational, elite and disabled players.

Full registration fee includes entry to all workshops, US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, President's Reception, The After Party presented by adidas and exhibit hall. Registration will not include hotel room reservation.
